Happy New Year!
Ann Stewart shared some powerful thoughts on life, change, and facing the new year by reminding me that "God is our rock and our refuge, our provider and our [most faithful and loving] friend." No matter what happens or doesn't happen in 2015, we can be sure that "God is always the same," and He will be there. "His love is constant, his kindness is certain; his mercy is new every morning. In Him our inheritance is secure and the promises to us are certain."
So, for 2015 I am praying that the we will have "the power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead available to us" through faith; that the God who loved and loves us more than we can ever think, dream, or imagine will continue to be with both of us; and that the grace and steadfast love of God will show us with greater clarity that He is good, He is able, we are His, and He is enough!
As Ann Stewart closed her devotional for December 30th, 2014 I ask that we help each other remember God, the Father of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, and "Press into Him [deeply and passionately] because God is more than enough" for all of our trials and our triumphs.
May the triumphant, eternal, and everlasting God surround you with love,
build you up in strength, empower you with boldness,
fill you with courage, stand beside you for comfort,
and make this year a banner year of many to come.
Happy New Year!
