This past weekend my cousin Solomon and his wife stopped by for a visit. They came down from Baltimore on a multi-purpose trip. All in all I think they did a graduation, a lunch with family, a visit to our house, visit with other family, and a Christmas concert at Reid Chapel.
I really enjoyed their time with us this weekend. It was so nice to have them over and to talk and chat. It was fun listening to Solomon and Cheryl talk about life with an empty nest. It was funny hearing Solomon talk about not having up lights, falling asleep early and not having the hustle of kids in the house.
It was just nice spending time with family and catching up on what has been going on. I am thankful that they took time to swing by our house and visit. We always enjoy our company and we are looking forward to the next time.
Hopefully in 2012 we will get to visit them when we go to D.C.
Titled after my first book of poetry, this blog follows with a vast array of stories of hope, joy, grace, sorrow, success, thoughts and prayers. I hope to remind myself that it is okay to not know how all the notes make up the song, and to inspire others that sometimes the seemingly random is not random at all because the Truth is, we aren’t writing the score— He is. And because He is, we can just play the notes and trust that the song will be Victory
